Kimmie aka Cherry Lace
Boss Lady and Lead Instructor
Kimmie has been teaching dance fitness classes for ten years, specialising in not only delivering high performance fitness sessions, but in making her students feel comfortable in their own skin.
Kimmie teaches all levels, from our beginner Cherry Poppers through to the Performance Troupe classes and many of the BomBomb workshops.
When not teaching, Cherry Lace can be found entertaining audiences with her charm and wit hosting shows around the North West, or producing her own student showcases.
Maxi aka Adora-Belle
Maxi heads our beginners Cheadle and Oldham classes but can also be found at the studio in Hyde leading many of our beginners & advanced workshops and our Shimmy & Scream classes!
When not in the studio, Max is either chasing her cheeky cherubs around the park, or gracing the stage as Adora with her partner in crime Purdie Paws, sometimes without, sometimes with, a microphone.
I attended my first class with Kimmie at Bradbury House Community Centre, Glossop, four and a half years ago and since then have never looked back! I was a bit anxious about going in on my own but Cherry Lace/Kimmie was welcoming and encouraging and the other ladies were just like me, nervous but up for a giggle. Since then I have gone on to attend classes regularly and taken part in several shows - something I wouldn't have dreamt of at the beginning! Kimmie instils confidence and self belief in a really natural and encouraging way. She keeps classes fun but is able to teach patiently and clearly, ensuring every individual in class is happy to move on to the next bit and able to ask questions or repeat bits. Kimmie communicates really well with us all with emails, websites and chats and has even organised and attended numerous social events for her students. I can't recommend Kimmie highly enough as an instructor - she is an amazing burlesque dancer herself and really knows her stuff, but also manages to keep classes fun and motivating so you almost forget your exercising too! She has also really helped me out with one-to-one tuition and choreography with great ideas and advice on how to add and execute moves and poses.
